The K.O. Drums (Knock-Out Drums) designed and manufactured by S.T.I.T.I. are engineered to remove liquid particles from a gas stream by means of a vane pack (or vane demister).
The gas enters the vessel and flows through the vane pack. The rapid changes in flow direction force the liquid particles against the metal surfaces. The droplets coalesce into larger drops which then fall by gravity into the lower section, where they are collected and drained. Separators can be supplied for any operating conditions and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
